Founded in 2001 by UK DJ Miles Cleret, Soundway has emerged as a leading player in a new generation of independent labels releasing high grade collections of vintage worldwide sounds. Sourcing lost classics and obscure b-sides from the 60s and 70s via extensive vinyl hunting trips Soundway releases are funky affairs attuned to the dancefloor. Combining an archivist’s attention to detail with a DJ’s passion the label has so far released retro gems from Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Colombia, Panama and the French Caribbean.
